yay for this Good Coffee and the lemon-blueberry-roll pastry i got this morning from the new shop in town, boo for her card reader being broken, i feel stressed on her behalf!
boo for my hair being crazy this morning but yay for taking the time to flat iron it

I've made a lot of progress on estate stuff. I bagged up clothing and tossed makeup and cosmetics stuff this weekend. These were easy in a way because nobody else should use someone's makeup so I can't donate it or use it myself - except maybe the clinique lotion. The clothes, too, are too small for my household. I am tossing socks & underwear, but everything in good shape is in some bags to be donated. Maybe my SIL, but probably I'll just take it to a nice place up here.
Hats & shoes & purses are next (plus stuff in that corner I can't get to).
Yes, that was a sad thing to do and maybe I rushed it.
Made progress with scheduling Events - just need to verify with the cemetery about timing - so I have a weekend in mind and i reserved a suite at the residence inn (refundable).
There's some paperwork I can't really do without some other paperwork - which arrived at the funeral home in painesville ohio - so my brother's going to send it along to me. So i'm waiting there. I wish I had more Action Steps I could do.
I wanted to ask mom for aunt lindy's address to thank her for sending the sympathy flowers....and said, oh, wait.
OH, and if you're still with me, I need advice on something:
- the attorney my mom was working with for estate planning (Pam) suggested i speak with her colleague who does more estate administration (Nancy)
- Nancy isn't available till march 28
- The state of NH requires me to do Things by March 24th;
- I've MOSTLY done the things (but need documents) and this is where an atty would probably be helpful...
- and I also suppose that anything mom finalized with Pam (I don't think she did finalize any plans) is stuff I should have on file as well.
- Pam is semi-retired
What i THINK i'll do is when I get the death certifcates I'll make an appt to see Pam and make sure i'm not missing anything. I am not sure I need Nancy at this time.
