honestly, today is monday the 13th.  We're expecting a snowstorm tomorrow -a nor'easter - and it's supposed to be voting day, so the town is offering absentee ballots today in case people can't get out. 

It was a just-okay weekend. I didn't have too much freakout but did have a 'too-much meg & mom' moment and got snappish with mom. we worked it out. she handles that so much better, and i apologize better.  I am trying to know where the boundaries are and how to set them.

I'm trying to use a growth mindset with my parenting: 'i might have messed up on that. but I can do better next time.' etc.   And I'm also going to assume, going forward, that the kids are little empaths and when I get stressed out they get stressed out.  

Later on I'll tell the story of the mud, the bison, and the cotton candy, but it's too much of a story to do in my monday-brain-dump!

I did get to pet a goat and see an Ox as well - the ox wasn't feeling friendly but the goat was! his name is Pip. There is a Donkey named Sassy but she was in her house. Carlos the Ox was having lunch. 

These guys are separate from the bison story!
