too many quotation marks!

alicevangelinei am making more 'climb out of this bog' steps and one of them is - i got a nice sweater that is from the sleepwear department but it's heathered lavender, soft, drapes nicely. it's too pretty to only wear to bed.
usually i have my own color of the year. Last year (and possibly forever) is 'titanium oxide' which is like purple-green rainbow metal. you can only do it with jewelry and cups and stuff though. It reminds me of 'octarine' from Discworld. At the time i thought greenish-purple was impossible. And, it was one of those 'name a color no one has ever seen' thought experiments. But then they started making it last year. I have a necklace, bracelet, and hoop earrings in that color.
This year i am drawn to lavender again, like i was in the 80s :) - i've seen high heels that i lusted after in that pretty shade, this sweater, and lipstick - i've just been drawn to it. So this i think is a year of soft femininity for me. Last year was ballsy shiny creativity, this year is quiet sweetness and hugs and empathy.
