maybe they do and don't call it that. maybe that's why 'coming of age stories' are so important in English class. Maybe that's why we build in cultural traditions around transitions - to help ease the things!

Here's why it's on my mind:
1. got the annual report from the museum. it's interesting to look at it and see things like "i started that, glad it's going well" or "thank god they went with this thing, i kept saying they'd never achieve what they hope for without doing that." I think things like 'i worked with the designers to choose that branding, i had that sign made, etc.' You hope you leave a positive impact on a place, you know? And even if you couldn't do what you hoped for, it was still part of the Wheel.
2. LinkedIn is full of my old jobs, old friends, old town. Apparently change is tough on me because they're all still in my follows; I'm still proud of old coworkers, interested in how old-places are doing, hoping to help old causes.
3. I didn't get my picture taken with my officemates for the annual badges because I wasn't sitting by them because the new position was new and I didn't want to cling but I also felt shy and vulnerable.

Unrelated except extremely loosely - she could teach the graduate level of moving on. I'm impressed.

'Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton scoffed at demands for endless policy plans from Harris.

“She does not have to do it. I am going to just cut to the chase,” Clinton told the “On with Kara Swisher” podcast, released on Monday.

“Policy details are not going to do it,” Clinton said. “I put out more policies than I think anybody ever has … and I talked about the economy every day, but literally after the election, I was told that I never talked about the economy. Campaign policy is really about showing you can govern with your values in a way that can improve people’s lives.”' (from cnn)

Also here's the other things about sharing your plans on the campaign trail from my understanding of How Government Works:

1. All plans something something first something of combat.  (No plan survives contact with the enemy, plans are useless but planning is indispensable). (Man plans, god laughs.). in other words, Any plan she shares now is subject to change and therefore subject to people yelling about later and therefore a potential broken promise, regardless of intention.  Any plan made by one important person in government still needs a shitload of people to agree to it and even then it'll be unrecognizable.
2. An actual government plan or policy is hundreds of pages and boring AF.  If it's government it could be considered legally binding so even if it's plain language, it will have to use more words and disclaimers than anyone would want to read or listen to.   It would be Bad TV.
3. The argument people had when DT was running for office was 'he will surround himself with people who know what they're doing.' There is every reason to believe KH will absolutely do the same.
4. I'm not sure if the president actually writes policies or just manages the people who manage the people who do. So. If she picks the right people, and has listed priorities, then her actual plans don't particularly matter. I guess the idea is that the CAMPAIGN would have the plan, but like, see point 1; it needs people to agree to it. It's more important to have good judgement and clear priorities that people agree with. (And "good judgement" doesn't mean no mistakes. It means good more often than not.)
5. Can we also remember that she hasn't spent 4 years planning her campaign for Pres? She's had about 2 months?
6. I forget, but there was one more. Oh. yeah. Not only are plans subject to change based on how government works/agreeing with other people/congress, BUT ALSO subject to change based on wildness of life. Disasters, plagues, new priorities, etc.   So that's where point 4 comes in. Generally able to make a good judgement call in the face of surprises.
