so the last time I've had that whole-body allergice reaction itchiness is like when I overdid it exercising and it lasted 30 min. Yes, I have exercise-induced-hives = "cholinergic urticaria" and it's a real thing and it's very stupid.
But this time, i was itchy at bedtime and my eyes wouldn't stop bothering me, and I took a quick shower and lotioned in case it was a dry skin thing or dust in my eyes.
In the morning my whole dang self was spotty and itchy and my eyes were awful. Which could have been because of rubbing them so much. And I said maybe i'm itchy due to the lotion? Then I remembered I had already been itchy, and I only put lotion some places and the itchy spots were essentially everywhere, including face and chest.
Urgent care (and Dan) figured it was the antibiotic, even though it'd been a few days since I started taking it. The doc did a good explanation of how my body hadn't recognized it at first, but if I were to take it again I would likely have an immediate reaction.
Friday and Saturday otherwise were a mess of trying to nap but can't, an aveeno oatmeal bath, hemp-oil lotion that dan swears by, trying to figure out when I'd taken Claritin and prednisone. and reading a 3 outta 5 star book - the King's Watch series is only okay, not great, but I did want to see what would happen next.
Saturday afternoon I started feeling better, went to the co-op with dan for a minute to get fancy food treats (Sap seltzer! Good Cheese! bulk granola!) and I made 'banoffee pie bites' from a recipe. It used dates with milk & vanilla as the caramel, graham cracker crust, then a slice of banana, whip cream, and chocolate shavings. Pretty good. Wasn't sure if the kids would pick up on the date paste. Dan doesn't like banana so his had a bit of apple.
Sunday took meg to the science center as she was stir-crazy and mom wanted to go out too. had a lovely time, found out I was kinda weak and not 100%, but we did okay.
I did a bit of recipe uploading for thanksgiving ( i use prepear, one thing you can do is copy your own text recipes in and then add them to shopping list. A little faster than scribbling.)
On the fence about a glorious "Harvest Hash" v mashed potatoes, otherwise i'll keep it pretty simple. Maybe I'll upgrade my stuffing to the umpteenth power, leave the mashed alone, do turkey, make bread, buy pie. Kids want corn, turkey and pickles and rolls.
