I saw my therapist yesterday (zoom) - I told her that my inner gym coach, who is very critical because he just wants me to push myself to be my best, GRUMBLED about my sick day yesterday but accepted it grudgingly. That's how I frame my jerkbrain these days. That my inner critic is just a gym teacher/coach and he's not trying to make me Feel Bad, he's trying to make me do my best, which - k thanks I guess.
I took that damn sick day yesterday and fully earned it; i'm still a fucking mess but a bit better. Yesterday I was a train wreck.
breathing thru my mouth, decroded voice, and stuffy. hey, yesterday I was drippy and sore throaty and coughy and the cough hurt in seven places and I didn't sleep at night. So this is like, way better, but I am definitly saying 'blow by dose' instead of 'blow my nose.'
So. Today could have merited another sick day but i don't want to get behind. Plus tonight there's an important work event. We will see if I make it to that.
ok i have several zooms today, which is good, and a few urgent things I can do if I mentally organize them,
