shallow thoughts
Sep. 11th, 2024 08:53 amyou know that sci-fi concept about how copies of people lose integrity and get more blurred the more copied they are?
The same thing happens the more removed data is from its source. Of course the data in the source can be wrong to start with (typo, offline updates that don't get to the database), but also every time I export a file and update it, then make a copy of that and mess with that, a kitten cries (i mean, there's a possibility of error).

Also. I have been Very Freaking Tired, and partly it was because of interrupted sleep, but also my vitamin d is low, so i gotta get on that.
One thing that did NOT help was:
-after work yesterday, dan took ty to dr. meg friend came over. I had forgotten about that, so instead of grocery pickup after work, i went straight home to be an adult around meg & friend (probably not strictly necessary that they have an adult around, as they're 7th graders, but i didn't want her guardian finding out and being upset.). THEN. called aunt, brought friend home, went to go vote in state primary, brought hubs & daughter home from voting, went back out to finally gather the groceries, also grabbed pizza and then staggered home at 6:45. Which is not bad for all of the above.
Followed by digestion of pizza and playing Paper Mario. And bedtime at 8:45. And I stole dan's side - we have side-by-side twin mattresses on a king frame so we could try different support levels, and honestly mine is soft but it's terrible. How is it somehow too hard, and unsupportive, and soft?!
