Since I posted:
1. mom's laptop died. I was on a zoom and it turned off never to turn on again. Geek Squad said 'not even anything on the memory at this point. seems to be a power surge.' So that means.... a) I hope her most recent versions of her books were on googledocs & thumb drive, i think they were. and b) that was the laptop I had been using .... mine was from 2016 and getting old and slow. So, after some dithering at best buy, I took the plunge and got a new laptop. Similar to the car situation, isn't it. So I have me a new laptop for gaming, zooms, admin work for the household (if you know what i mean).
2. I'm back to work this morning!
3. I planted tomatoes, peppers, and a cucumber and weeded my veggie garden (I don't always do that because what if the weeds are actually something i planted, but it was clear in this case they were not.). My nails are gross.
4. Went to a dino & geology museum (small but great and free) and saw where Emily Dickinson lived (from the street).
5. set up an appt with the atty re: estate because i shouldn't need to get a bond for the estate if I put the amount wrong (everything I thought was in the estate already goes to me & chris as beneficiaries; so the actual estate is the car/ bank account, so ultimately it'll be an insolvent estate).
6. it's a new School Year/ Fiscal Year so I have a new Erin Condren planner that begins july 1. It has stickers and sections I don't understand. I got the Teacher Edition because I'm a quasi-teacher and run an after school club (at least one) and this one has room for that and for the field trip planner, basically. so I like it but am figuring out how to use it in a way that will help me. It's huge and pretty.
7. went to an art museum with dan (spacemosque was cool/neat/weird)
(also a small gallery and bought 2 small prints)
8. this goes with the plan of adjusting mom's rooms at our house to a new normal - "new art" is a part of that (I'm still shopping around)
9. took kids to the playground
All told, not too shabby. Maybe later I'll update this post with links to art and stuff.
Other parts of vacation which i may or may not have already mentioned:
