Today Things
Jan. 9th, 2024 02:39 pm- Also yesterday.
- Worked late last night, gave a presentation to the board justifying my existence. that's so much easier than it used to be. I think that went okay.
- Yesterday was batshit insane helping a family with a whole...situation. that's nearly resolved today but I need help from like, 3-4 people, and none of them are available right now. 1 of the people can give guidance/check my work on the first time I'm doing this thing and ALSO needs to be informed bc jurisdiction. 1 = should be informed and could maybe help but is working 3 roles and not available right now. 1 = can actually make the thing happen and I'm awaiting her call anytime now.
- The thing I wanted to say about today and yesterday is that I'm Freaking Trying, and being cautious, and doing my best, and asking for help and guidance whenever I need to. And when I really REALLY need that, I insist; if I need to move on without the help/guidance then I follow the law/rules. I mean it's as simple as that.
- I'm trying to write things up so they're easier for the next person, and trying to make sure that lives somewhere.
- I am dealing with the stress/overwhelm by taking the occasional mental breaks as you may know and one of those was looking at NPR and I saw a thing about valentine's day, so I wrote up dan & my 'meet cute'+ valentine's proposal story.
- we had 8-10 inches of snow on Sunday, and today another storm is forecast turning to a rainy downpour, so....3rd flood in 12 months in new england is likely.
