THAT SUCKED
Apr. 17th, 2023 09:25 amI went to the emergency room to get fixed up. It's funny, I pictured myself saying "I had to go to the hospital" and revising that to "I had to go to the er" and revising that because I didn't HAVE to go, but I am very glad I did.
For future reference: if you ever have to take an opiate, also take a laxative. Because apparently I wasn't digesting or eliminating anything (also not eating or drinking even prior to the nausea, because pain).
One bag of saline + zofran.

I didn't exactly bounce back but by the time the bag of fluids was half gone I could talk again and had some semblance of personality.
Was pretty woozy on Saturday and Sunday; occasional mild tooth pain and mild queasy. Tried to balance doctor's rec of taking laxative with actually eating some food. but also taking it easy and doing simple food. I am glad I didn't actively grocery shop and instead did pickup; I walked around the house doing some stuff and was like, 'phew I gotta sit down.'
Apparently my comfort tv is Rick Steves (couldn't find any particular one I wanted to watch) and P. Allen Smith's Garden Home. Gentle men talking about nice things.
Root canal today, joy.
I kind of think there are other tooths causing toothache. teethache. whatever. but honestly it's up in my jaw sometimes, or by my cheekbone, etc. The nerves are always confused & tangled & referring to each other so who da heck knows except very good dentists.

I'm typing a little bit spacey, but I think I'm really ok.
Meg and I watched Bears (2014), a very nice disney documentary, and also Ghost of the Mountains - about snow leopards - also v pleasant. She is mad at me for how much she enjoyed Bambi (we watched it on Easter).

I am going to get back to it but was also thinking about Ty & college, which is a complicated thing, but I think it might be a 2025 thing? We got his SAT scores and they were just fine; much better than PSAT. I might have him take it again sometime if it's not a hassle. I'm kind of going with the approach of 'what do i really think will be worth the money for him in the long term.' My top 2 answers on that are 'community college' and this one college that is way cheaper than it outta be (Mass College of Liberal Arts). The avg net price is way low, I mean. Plus the vibe is right.
AND, I helped my mom sign & pay her taxes yesterday. good job me.
