Feb. 16th, 2023 09:23 amSo booking appointments online is the best, because you can look at all the options instead of an annoying back n forth. If I were a stylist, I would want a new client to send me a selfie so I can greet them and get an idea what we're working with. And i'm super tempted to do that.
update:
i did that, i sent a heads-up text that I am told 'i have a lot of hair' and she said 'what are we doing' so I did the selfie and it seemed helpful. and she said 'cute' which was nice of her.
I told my therapist that I'm struggling with my look because I look either dorky or sweet, and I don't want to feel like that or be seen as that. We discussed that I'm actually kinda figuring out my identity again. Sorting out trauma responses from Me. Is the 'sweet' thing that I'm avoiding the 'fawn' trauma response? Am I overthinking it? Is it that I want to have more armor and be Tougher?
We talked about the angry rebel persona that's in there somewhere, and Mrs. Potts. I stated "i just wanna FIX stuff" and explained i wanna fix things for these families, make school more fair, fix broken things. She offered 'what if you replaced fix with heal' and I said 'i would cry a lot probably'. dangit.
