a better plan
Jun. 15th, 2022 09:51 amOk, so to prevent myself from noticing how dumb everything feels all the time, and getting mad at everyone constantly, and to stop from daydreaming about other jobs, this is the plan:
- Instead of Job Hunting -
1. write up skills in a word doc. I was realizing I've been managing employees since college, so that's ...over 15 years :) (I didn't ALWAYS manage people) Also, although I think sales is 'ew,' I do enjoy relationship building and following sequences. (Mostly I don't like bad sales strategies, and I don't like unachievable numbers pressures.) And it occurs to me that i have a TON of sales/development experience, more than I thought. So I've had these 'too many hats' jobs, right, and anyway I'm going to separate out those hats. Maybe look for trends, but also use this info to feel more confident about my skills. (Because job hunting is depressing.)
2. clean and declutter office. pretend I'm leaving. make things nice. organize.
3. Fart around with HOBBIES at home that aren't VIDEO GAMES AND READING AND HIKING WITH DAN and BUYING FLOWERS. I need work to not be my life, and I need something For Me that's more than a relaxation tool or money pit. Side hustle. I know I mentioned this already but i lost steam.
