actual....quiet time?

So!
Dan is volunteering at a 24 hour race - it's boring to run, he says, but he still likes the people and the atmosphere. He did say, after all,he'd do fewer long runs during the week and do like one backpacking trip a month. that's fine!
Ew this mechanical keyboard is LOUD
Dan also wants to move far away to somewhere with a less depressing winter. It's not the snow that's the issue, it's the boring cold with no snow and no activities. We don't downhill ski, and there's like 2 official cross country ski places. I told him I promised the board I'd be there at least 5 years so we can't really look at moving for two years. He can deal. Plus if he's serious and I think he is, then we'll need to do some serious planning. I have mixed feelings about the idea. I think we should just vacation in winter more, especially if he wants to move to Vermont - we should vacation there more than, like, once.
The kids are doing Vlogs but like not uploading to anything. If they really want to start a youtube channel together I will support it I guess but i'll need to review for safety first so that'll be a new hobbyfor us. Ty does have a website now.
Summer camp:
a) as a summer camp planner operator I'm still enduring the consultant from heck. she was not awful this week but almost but the person i tried to offload the responsibility to said to wait until the camp she planned is done, so i sighed and rolled my eyes. Now my staff (I have 2 now!) and other board members are ready to rip off the bandaid and send her packing, and I am too in theory, but the timing still sucks because of camp. The other guy's plan is probably best to be honest but we'll have to deal with her attitude for 3 more weeks.
on the bright side, it's just snarky & unprofessional attitude. The camp itself will be AMAZING. I'm trying to just keep my annoyance with that person to a minimum and roll my eyes behind her back and keep on swimming. She doesn't GET to me anymore. She told me - her boss/customer - 'slow your role.' it bugs me more that she spelled it wrong, i'm pretty sure it's 'roll.' There's a lot of attention-to-detail stuff that she misses. Like she can't pronounce 'automaton.' we've practiced it. She always just calls it something else like "automation". Bristle bot she spells 'bristol.' Why. She gives me a hard time for being disorganized (I'm really not) and also hates when I do try to implement systems like asana for tasks. There's just a lot and now i'm trying to keep the drama to a minimum and not engage and just keep an eye. I have backup people, we don't actually need to keep her at this point, but my conscience doesn't mind keeping her on for a bit longer unless something else goes down. Which it might.
We also expanded the summer camp to a second location, which is crazy. one of the committee members is giving my employee a really hard time, but she's tough enough to handle it, and to be honest the Second Camp is kicking butt. We're taking deep breaths about going from 2 weeks of camp to 6 weeks and we're getting enough help from the most part.
b) the camps i am not running, the ones i'm sending my kids to: include Camp Invention nearby/next week and Science Center Design & Cad camp a long drive away in 2 weeks. I still need to do paperwork.
I'm pondering cancelling the 2nd one and sending my older kid to my own personal camp - i need more kids anyway - and my daughter to acting camp nearer by.
the rest of the summer i have 2 options - acting camp or city recreation. I mean i have more options but i think these are the best choices. I have to remember that Ty's Issues might be a thing at either place, but if his sister is there it's better.

It's community garage sale day so I was thinking about getting lemonade stand supplies. I was also thinking about getting the fancy Lemonade Stand from target that's like a nice playhouse thingy. IDK. Probably not worth it. Anyway byeeee hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
