i'm going to reserve mental room

ok i was taking a crappy online test and one of the q's was about having energy, even while getting enouugh sleep - or giving all your energy to work -

here's the thing, i sleep enough but lately i've been coming home 100% drained with no energy for playtime with these kiddos and omg do they bounce off the effin walls. we did go to the playground last night, that was loverly. Both have such unique styles of playing. Megan is always making up cute characters to be, like Queen Howly (a cute wolf) or Confetti, a white kitten with rainbow polkadots who loves to party and rip things into confetti. Ty occassionally will be Astronaut Andy (based on spaceman spiff) but their worlds don't really collide - wait bad space metaphor- i try to have him find a planet of kittens or have her kitten be in space, or something. She has a new character every day but he has his own thing.

Part of me thinks/knows they're going to be pretty well adjusted grownups for the most part (not entirely). the roughest thing is that Meg's extravertedness demands attention! going places! play! and Ty while occasionally extraverted, and enjoying company and sharing his ideas or playing (his own way) with others, is not as constant or cute about it and also asks me to go to him whereas megan follows me around.

So my solution has been sort of: two parents and 2 kids = one parent per kid, and that only KIND of works, because dan is the same way and he can be gruff sometimes. My other solution is to take ty places with just me & him because if we're home megan will be like Moooooooom.....
