alicevangelinei was reading about wardrobe capsules, wherein you only have 3 items of each type of clothing, basically, seasonally adjusted.
the article i liked started with, 'forget the rules, make your own.'
I'll revisit this post later, but here is the beginning of my Clothing Rules:
1. Leggings/jeggings are pants IF your shirt covers your butt.
2. Don't bother buying clothes from Target. The sizes never work (for me), the pricing is goofy for what you get, and things disintegrate rapidly. (I'm writing this down because i need the reminder!!!)
3. Weirdly, Walmart, Rite Aid, and Dollar General have much higher quality clothes than you might expect. WHAT? you say, but I can tell you I have 2-3 shirts & wraps I picked up at the pharmacy (or dollar store) that i get complimented on all the time, that haven't gotten holes, that were priced fairly or cheaply, and still fit ok. Walmart can be a challenge to find something Nice or Cute, but generally my clothes from there fit, last, AND are cheap.
4. Most outfits need 3 things. Pants, shirt, and a thing (scarf, necklace, sweater).
